Warfare

I was going to take a step away from maps today, and look at the other mods available, but I then spotted War-Valley, on the epic forums. This is a a map for the gametype warfare which is new to the console version on UT3. This involves 'bases' called nodes and each team trying to capture a node linking from one of there existing nodes. Once you have linked all the way to the oppositions prime node you can then go about destroying up, resulting in a lovely cutscene of you destroying the base. Furthermore everytime you capture a node this give you an extra respawn place where you can get in vehicles or rearm yourselves.
Valley is an outstanding map, created by Cr4zyB4st4rd over on the Epic forums and cooked by AnubanUT2 for the PS3.
As well as being set in a valley and looking outstanding the original PC version contained falling snow. The creator questioned whether this would hamper the conversion to PS3 but gladly it didn't and the map still contained falling snow in the PS3 version, without causing slowdown. This is very impressive stuff and shows the strength and capabilities of the PS3 system.

Lets Do This!

Todays map is seriously worth Mod Of The Day status its called Canal Warfare and has been created by Plugh, from the epic forums. This is a large vehicle capture the flag map that will automatically make you think of your favourite game whether it be Warhawk, Battlefield or even the Call Of Duty series. This map has the Jeeps, Tanks you can Fly or take the high ground and snipe out the flags. The design is very much Call of Duty with its buildings and out houses, more COD2 than 4. There is also the added mounted guns which each team can use to protect their flag from on coming vehicles. Enjoy the map and don't forget to drop back and leave a comment on what you think.
