In The 3rd Person

Seeing we have had a Map and Character mod I thought today I would post the third and type of mod, a mutator. These are mods that change the gameplay in some way such as speeding it up, faster reloading of weapons or the UT favourite instagib.

The mod I have chosen for todays posting however is the action cam mutator. This is changes the camera angle from first person to 3rd person, over the shoulder view and is good for people who are more used to the the like of Halo or GOW type shooters.

Shipment Comes Home

Todays Unreal Tournament recommendation is a map, that may be familiar to some and is a good starting place for beginners, and a must have for the rest. 'Fibbes' has accurately recreated Shipment, from Call of Duty 4, this is a very detailed recreation. Its a nice small map, for ut3, and get you lots of instant action. Unlike the COD4 version tho you can climb and collect weapons in places you couldn't reach before.

Mod Of The Day

The first Mod I have chosen is a right doozy its a mod for a character model for Halo's Master Chief.

This is a very detailed and clever character model created by Organ from utps3.incadudef.com. This is the most detailed character model I have personally seen for the PS3.

Also available on the link is models for Gears Of War Characters including Marcus and Locusts.

Master Chief just click on the character and it will take you to the download screen.

*UPDATE* Hands Up! I admit I have just found out that the Master Chief Model is only in beta great apologies. I will keep updating the link for you, as the beta gets updated, and will post when I update the link. So you don't have to go chasing and looking for the latest versions. This will not happen again and I will strive to only post final versions of mods.

UT3 Mod A Day

I have created this blog for beginners to Unreal Tournament 3, on PS3, who are wanting to know where to start when looking for Mods, and long time players who are looking for a great mod. Knowing where to start, which ones are the best and which ones to download can be kind of daunting and a minefield even to long time players.

I intend to use this blog to post a Mod-A-Day and post one which I consider good or deserves an honorable mention.  I will only post complete, or finished versions of mods, maps or character models, which will help beginners in not having to chase the latest update all the time. I will also add either pictures and videos of the mods where I can.

Finally I will hopefully also create an extensive list of sources for websites which archive or allow you to download mods. I will also give a brief description of how mods work, how to download them and how to use them in game.
